Alabaster resident and recent star of the “Dancing with the Stars” television show will appear on national television again on June 10, the Country Music Television network announced on June 8.

Noah Galloway, a U.S. Army veteran who finished third on Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars in May, will be one of the award presenters at the CMT Music Awards. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Galloway will be appearing on the show alongside a few familiar faces, as Dancing with the Stars host Erin Andrews will co-host the CMT Music Awards and Dancing with the Stars Season 10 champion Rumer Willis also will serve as an award presenter.

The awards show will feature performances by Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and the Zac Brown Band.

Along with Galloway, Grammy-nominated singer Aloe Blacc, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Billy Ray Cyrus, David Spade and Kellie Pickler, among others, will serve as presenters during the ceremony.

Galloway has drawn support from across the nation since he was named Men’s Health Magazine’s Ultimate Guy in 2014. He began his journey to the Dancing with the Stars finale in February, and earned consistently high levels of viewer support throughout the season.

Galloway was paired with professional dancer Sharna Burgess during Dancing with the Stars, and finished third to champions Rumer Willis and her teammate Val Chmerkovskiy and runners-up Riker Lynch and his teammate Allison Holker.

On Dec. 19, 2005, Galloway was serving in the 1st of the 502nd Infantry of the Army’s 101st Airborne Division, and was driving an armored Humvee near Baghdad, Iraq, when the vehicle hit a tripwire for an improvised explosive device.

The resulting explosion threw the 9,000-pound Humvee through the air and knocked Galloway unconscious. When he awoke in Washington, D.C., five days later, he was missing portions of his left arm and leg.

After struggling with depression and alcoholism, Galloway worked hard to regain his fitness and later decided to enter the Men’s Health magazine Ultimate Guy contest, which he won.
