COLUMBIANA – Bryant Bank in Columbiana invited customers to join in a celebration of the bank’s 10-year anniversary June 10.

“The celebration is for Bryant Bank as a whole,” Shelby County President Billy Jones said. “This is the day we opened the first bank 10 years ago.”

Bryant Bank has 14 branches from Huntsville down to the Alabama coast.

The Columbiana branch opened in 2009 and was the fourth location to open.

Bryant Bank’s first branch opened in Greystone.

Jones said the intent behind the bank’s formation was for each location to be a “community bank for the different communities,” and to support schools and other local organizations.

“Our main thing is to be a part of the community,” Jones said. “We try to really get to know our customers.”

The bank offers consumer, commercial and business loans, checking and savings, money market accounts, among other services.

Jones said the bank’s deposits and loans have “grown tremendously in a short span of time.”

“Through the good times and the more challenging times, Bryant Bank is always here to help you and your family or business achieve your financial goals,” Bryant Bank Chairman Paul W. Bryant Jr. wrote on the company’s website. “We also want you to be aware that our bank will remain a community bank. At a time when so many smaller banks have sold to larger ones, we’re committed for the long haul.”

In addition to normal business hours Monday-Friday, the lobby of Bryant Bank in Columbiana is open from 9 a.m. to noon, and the drive-up window operates from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

“We have a wonderful team,” Jones said. “We’re just very proud to be in the community and to be a part of the community.”
