Sheriff’s Office deputies respond to robbery at Walgreens on U.S. 280

HOOVER-Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a robby at Walgreens in the Lee Branch Shopping Center off of U.S. 280 at approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 30.

Witnesses at the 101 Doug Baker Boulevard location were able to provide 911 operators descriptive details of the fleeing suspect and vehicle. Moments after receiving the call, deputies identified a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle fled. After a short pursuit traveling east on U.S. 280, deputies stopped the vehicle and placed the suspect under arrest without injury or further incident.
