Shelby County 52 railroad crossing to close July 15-17 for repairs

PELHAM–The city of Pelham, as well as the Pelham Police Department are warning commuters that they will need to adjust their travel plans from Wednesday, July 15 through Friday, July 17, as railroad track repair work will begin at the CSX crossing between Donut Joe’s and Helena on Shelby County 52.

The closing will mostly affect commuters who travel between Helena and Pelham as the CSX track is scheduled for closure July 15-17.

“Please make adjustments to your travel,” the Pelham Police Department wrote in a Facebook message posted Tuesday morning.

Travelers will need to either use Industrial Road in Alabaster or Alabama 261 in Pelham to travel between Pelham and Helena.
