On Tuesday, July 14, the Alabaster Teen Council hosted a slip n’ slide for teens in the community. The event was held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Several middle and high school students came to Alabaster Municipal Park on Warrior Drive to cool off and enjoy some fun in the sun with their friends.

The event featured a 33-foot slip n’ slide with two different lanes. The teens raced each other and tried to see who could make it to the end of the slide first.

Refreshments were provided by local churches, and treats from Frio’s Pops and Kona Ice were also available.

In addition to the slip n’ slide, the Alabaster Teen Council also provided a few different yard games that the teens could play. The members of the Alabaster Fire Department also joined in on these, pairing up with a few of the teenagers for a game of beanbag toss.
