ALABASTER – America’s Thrift Store in Alabaster is joining its other stores across the state in seeking donations to benefit a local charity, the company announced on Aug. 15.

Americas Thrift Stores is seeking donations of clothing, shoes and household items such as pots, pans, dishes, microwaves, small appliances, electronics and furniture. Once the items are collected, the store will sell them and use a portion of the proceeds to benefit the King’s Home charity.

King’s Home, which was formerly known as The King’s Ranch and Hannah Homes, offers refuge to thousands of women and children who are facing crisis situations such as abuse, neglect, abandonment and homelessness.

Donations can be made at any America’s Thrift Store, or by visiting AmericasThrift.com and clicking on “Donate.” The company also offers hundreds of donation bins and staffed trailer drop-off sites across Alabama. To schedule free pick-up service or by calling (800) 964-4567.
