ALABASTER – Alabaster’s First United Methodist Church will hold its first “Praise and Pie Fest” on Saturday, Aug. 22.

The event will be from 4-7 p.m. outside the church off Alabama 119, and will feature live music, kids’ activities, inflatable games, food and more.

Featured musicians will be Sanchez Tanniehill, Soldiers of the Cross, The Praise Project, the First United Methodist Church praise band, Keeping Rocks Silent, the Helena United Methodist Church Trio and more.

The event also will offer face painting, sand art, many games and will feature cotton candy, popcorn and Lazy Boy BBQ.

All attendees are encouraged to bring two pies or baked goods: One to offer for sample and another for a silent auction. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Backpack Buddies, which provides food to local children in need.
