Lighting, electrical bids opened for Chelsea Sports Complex

CHELSEA – Another bid opening for the first phase of the Chelsea Sports Complex was held at City Hall on Sept. 10.

The following bids were opened for field lighting and electrical components of the project: S & G Waldrop Electric, $370,250; Littleton Electrical Service, $451,586.02; and Titan Electric, $344, 894.

Stone and Sons Electric was on the bid list but did not submit a bid.

The council will vote on the preceding bids, along with two bids for paving, concrete and fencing opened on Sept. 3, at the Tuesday, Sept. 15 council meeting.

The paving and concrete bids were from Coston General Contractors for $1,133,187 and Clements Dean Building for $1,427,000.

The only remaining bids to award are for the concession stand and maintenance building.

Plans are to complete the first phase of the 100-acre complex by the spring of 2016.
