Brady Brackin
Duncanville, Texas

A loving husband, great father, and friend to all, Brady Brackin was born July 4, 1963. He passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, while hiking Camelback Mountain in Arizona, doing what he loved best, being in God’s creation.

He and his wife Deborah Brackin of Duncanville, Texas, celebrated 30 years of marriage June 14, 2015. Brady’s children included daughter, Nikki Demny, son-in-law David, and grandson Jon, of Spring, Texas; son, Joshua Brackin, daughter-in-law Steffani, grand-daughter Laken, and grandson Beau (who is due in January) of Baytown, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Judge Poole Brackin, Jr, his mother, Anne Mae (Lindsey) Brackin, and his brother, Judge “Jim” Poole Brackin, III.

Brady is also survived by one sister, Patricia Downing and brother-in-law, Jeff of Dallas, Texas; niece, Kelly Wilson, and great-nephew, Mason Livermore of Mesquite, Texas; niece, Tammy Bobien, great-nephew, Dustin Wilson, great-niece Kenzie Bobien, and great-great-niece Paisley Wilson, of Fultondale, Ala.; and niece, Dena Hallaren of Arizona.

No one shows greater love than when he lays down his life for his friends, John 15:13. This is the type of man Brady Brackin was. Full of joy, full of life, and living every day to its fullest. He was a friend to everyone, and a man’s man. He loved God, guns, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, being outdoors and his University of Alabama football team, RTR. He dreamed of a life in Alaska’s wilderness. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren more than anything. He was his greatest competitor. He loved to win and worked hard every day to give 110% to everything he did.

Brady gave 11 years to the Shaw, Inc as a sales representative in Texas and most recently, as Vice President of Strategic Accounts. He loved his new role, which focused on the senior living market and working with his partner, Joe Lopez.

Funeral services are at 10 am, Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Crossroads of Life Assembly of God, 123 S. Highway 67, in Duncanville, Texas. Visitation with the family is 6-8 pm, Tuesday evening, Oct. 20 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow on Thursday, Oct. 22 in Anahuac, Texas.
