PELHAM— The new 10,000-square-foot Stock and Trade opened about three weeks ago, according to Encore Resales store manager Carla Tunello. She and her family will be moving to Florida in a few months so she can take over the new store.

“It’s doing really well,” Tunello said. “It’s done a lot better than we ever anticipated.”

They also plan on opening a second Stock and Trade location at Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., by the summer 2016. This store will be 60,000-square-feet.

Stock and Trade offers a wide selection of custom upholstery, furniture, lighting, accessories and antiques. There are also local custom pieces available.

Tunello said they chose Florida for the family-owned business because everyone plans on retiring there. Encore Resales and the Homewood location of Stock and Trade will remain open as well.

“(We’re) overwhelmed and excited,” she said. “I’ll be moving down there and eventually everyone will be coming down there.”

Encore Resales features about 27,000-square-feet of home furniture and décor with more than 80 vendors. Tunello said the Florida locations will not feature vendors like the Pelham store.
