Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Muscle Shoals, with Reverend Roger Pride officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.Channing Meredith

Channing was a former student of Victory Christian Academy Daycare, Florence, Handy Head Start, Florence, Muscle Shoals High School Special Needs Class, Muscle Shoals, The Learning Center for Developmental Learning, Huntsville, and The Mitchell Center, Calera. He was a graduate of Linda Nolan Learning Center, Pelham. He attended Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals during his residency in the Shoals area.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Frances Brooks, Roland Hill and Annie Washington; great grandparents, Emma Meredith, Amelia Boynton Robinson and William (Mary) Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memories a very loving and devoted mother, Aimee Meredith of Calera; father, Rodney Brown of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Caeden Pollard of Calera, and Renardus Brown of Quincy, Fla.; grandfather, Bruce C. Boynton (Betty) of Selma; one uncle, Mark (Lillie) Simmons of Deatsville; six aunts, Carver Boynton of Gadsden, Jacqueline Simmons of Charlotte, N.C., Valerie Simmons of Glen Dale, Md., Angela (Thomas) Suggs, Tamekia (Kenneth Graves) and Rhonda Hill of Madison; special great aunts, Mary (Albert) Jarmon of Muscle Shoals, Carolyn (Willie) West of Florence, Gloria Berry of Sheffield, Janice King of Muscle Shoals; godmother, Joyce Gunn of Huntsville; special friends and devoted caregivers, Curtis (Edna) Stewart of Muscle Shoals, Frankie Pollard of Birmingham, and Myrtis Flowers of Birmingham; cousins and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
