Alton Leon Powell, age 94, of Columbiana, died Monday, Nov. 16.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 19 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Les Whiting officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mr. Powell is preceded in death by his parents, Mosey Lewis and Clara Idella Powell and sisters, Lallage Bentley and Katie Lou Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Powell; children, Joyce Etress (Barry), Mary Dunnaway (Kenny), and Robert L. Powell (Terri); 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Eva Lansford; and numerous other family and friends.
