Cecil E. Burney, age 81, of Columbiana, died Sunday, Dec. 27.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 31 at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 31 at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mr. Burney is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ann Burney and a daughter, Mary Grogan.

He is survived by his children, Cecilia Griffin (Paul), Linda Richards (Don), Cecil Burney, Jr. (Lucretia), and Elaine Patterson (Willie); son-in-law, Ray Grogan; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
