Four chambers of commerce in Shelby County will give locals a chance to get a preview of the biggest issues facing the Alabama Legislature in the upcoming session during a January luncheon.

The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, the Calera Chamber of Commerce, the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce and the South Shelby County Chamber of Commerce will jointly host the legislative session preview luncheon at Jefferson State Community College’s Health Science Building at 4600 Valleydale Road on Jan. 20, 2016.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., and lunch will be prepared by Jeff State Culinary and Hospitality Institute students. Cost for lunch will be $15 for chamber members and $25 for non-members, and reservations are requested by calling the GSCCC offices at 663-4542 or visiting Shelbychamber.org.

Along with the chambers of commerce, the luncheon will be co-hosted by AARP Alabama and Sain Associates.

During the luncheon, members of the Shelby County state legislative delegation will be on-hand to share their thoughts on the issues facing the Alabama Senate and House of Representatives heading into the 2016 session, which will begin in February.
