Paul passed away on Monday, Jan. 4 at the age of 74. He was born Jan. 8, 1941.
Paul was an electrician for Pullman Standard. He served as a bivocational minister for Shelby and Jefferson counties.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joseph Paul “Joey” Lutz; as well as several brothers and sisters.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Pitts Lutz; daughters, Cliassa Edwards (Kevin Crouch) and Paula Davenport (Bret); five grandchildren, Raven Edwards, Ashton Joseph (Daniel), Heath Davenport, Haley Davenport, and Houston Davenport; one great grandchild, Dax Joseph; one sister, Helen Green; one sister in law, Gaynell Hill (Jim); also numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to all the caregivers at Princeton Hospital for showing their compassion to the family.
The visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 5-7 p.m., with a funeral service held at Southcrest Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. with a visitation starting one hour prior.
