Flora Mae (Bozeman) Foster
Dadeville

Flora Mae (Bozeman) Foster died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Dadeville Healthcare Center in Dadeville.

She not only was a wife, mother, grandmother and a great grandmother, but she was also a majorette, tumbler, stand on your head, country gospel piano playing, alto singing, red velvet cake baking, crappie catching, breast cancer surviving, lung cancer surviving, my way or the highway kind of woman.  She was a Myrtle Street neighbor in Columbiana for fifty-two years before moving to Dadeville in July.

Flora Mae was born January 24, 1935 as the youngest of nine children to Charles and Ada Bozeman.  She graduated from Shelby County High School in Columbiana, AL and married the love of her life, Lewis Mack Foster. They were married fifty-four years before his death in 2007.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Andi) Foster of Center, Texas, Melissa Foster (Tom) Denney of Auburn; and Jeff Foster of Columbiana; four grandchildren, Alison (David) Slade, Matthew (Brittany) Foster, Trey Denney, Foster Denney; and six great grandchildren.  She is survived by one sister, Mildred Bozeman Baldwin, two loving sisters-in-law, Marzell Foster and Ann Foster with whom she spoke on the telephone every day. She leaves behind more than one hundred nieces and nephews who love their Aunt Flora Mae. They span over three generations.

Visitation is at Good Hope Methodist Church on Highway 61 in the Kingdom Community near Columbiana at noon on Saturday, Jan. 30, then Williams Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 p.m.  Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
