Club holds ‘Parti Gras and Hat Tuesday’ meeting

NORTH SHELBY – The Highland Lakes Women’s Club held its February meeting, “Parti Gras and Hat Tuesday,” at the home of Sharon Hauser.

Members were welcomed with strands of Mardi Gras beads and festive purple, green and gold Mardi Gras decorations.

Many of the members were decked out in costumes and colorful hats.

Members enjoyed New Orleans-style hors d’oeuvres, fruit cups and fresh vegetables as well as King Cake from south Louisiana.

Several attendees won fabulous door prizes donated by Lee Branch businesses Highland Shoes, Ala Mode and Foxy Nails.

The next meeting of the club will be April 5 at Urban Home Market.

Membership is open to residents of Highland Lakes subdivision in North Shelby County.
