ALABASTER – Locals looking to do some discount shopping while helping one of Thompson High School’s athletic programs will have a chance to do so in early April.

The THS track team will host its annual $1 yard sale from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 9, in the school’s lunchroom.

All items at the sale will be $1, regardless of the item, and all proceeds will benefit the THS track team.

Items for sale at the event will be donated by track athletes and their families, and event organizers will accept donations from members of the community from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, April 8 in the THS cafeteria.

Jamia Alexander-Williams, who has worked to organize the event for the past few years, said the sale will feature a wide range of items, such as clothes, shoes, books, televisions, kitchenware, bathroom accessories, lawn equipment and toys.

“We always receive a good variety of items from donations,” Alexander-Williams said.
