ALABASTER – Fleetwood Mac fans will be in for a treat at Alabaster’s CityFest this year, as the festival has announced its 7 p.m. performance.

The Black Jacket Symphony will perform Fleetwood Mac’s album “Rumours” in its entirety beginning at 7 p.m. on the event’s main stage.

“This is a unique and exciting opportunity for CityFest,” said Jamie Cole of the Alabaster Arts Council, which organizes CityFest each year. “It’s different from anything we’ve done in the past, but The Black Jacket Symphony has been one of the most popular acts in the South for the last several years. We’re excited to have the show at CityFest, and ‘Rumours’ is a great selection.”

The Black Jacket Symphony offers a unique concert experience by recreating classic albums in a live performance setting with a first-class lighting and video production. The selected album is performed in its entirety by a group of hand-picked musicians specifically selected for each album, according to the Arts Council.

Black Jacket Symphony will recreate “Rumours” note for note, sound for sound, guitar lick for guitar lick. Following the album, the Black Jacket Symphony will return to the stage to perform a collection of Fleetwood Mac’s greatest hits.

The Black Jacket Symphony will perform just before the CityFest headliner, country music star David Nail, takes the stage at 9 p.m.

CityFest, which will be held all day on Saturday, June 4, features three stages for musical performances: The KidsFest stage, which features a variety of acts and entertainment throughout the day, the day stage and the main stage.

On the day stage, which is set up near Thompson Middle School, will feature Divine Destiny at 10 a.m., Sanchez Tannehill at 10:30 a.m. and Terry Padgett as Elvis at 11 a.m.

The main stage will feature Kate and the Howlers at 1 p.m., the M-80s at 2 p.m., Michael Warren at 3:15 p.m., the Phil Dudley Band at 4:15 p.m. and KOA at 5:30 p.m., Black Jacket Symphony at 7 p.m. and David Nail at 9 p.m.

In addition to the musical performances and KidsFest, CityFest also will feature a cruise-in car show from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and a vendor area from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
