Holley Rene Myrick Stricklin, age 33, of Helena, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 2, in Helena.

She was born in Birmingham on Dec. 1, 1982; the daughter of Huey Daniel Myrick, Jr. and Mary Reeves Lawson.

She was a waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Stricklin of Helena; daughters, Alyssa Stricklin and Aubrey Stricklin of Helena; father, Danny Myrick of Maylene; mother, Mary Lawson of Calera; and sisters, Danielle Myrick of Calera, Chrystan Myrick of Calera, Kaley Myrick of Maylene, Shelby Myrick of Maylene, and Stacy Marcus of Cullman.

A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, May 6 at 11 a.m. in Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera with Rev. Barry Kornegay officiating.

Visitation was held Thursday, May 5 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home at Shelby Memory Gardens located at 8586 Hwy 25 in Calera.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Holley M. Stricklin Account at America’s First Bank.
