Funeral services for Mr. John Vernon Alexander, 81, and Mrs. Carolyn Jane Alexander, 74, of Sterrett, will be Tuesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at the Beulah Church in Sterrett with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6–8 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander died Thursday, May 12.

Survivors include their two daughters, Leveron Alexander and Carolyn Faye Motamed (Hank); three grandchildren, Ashley Jane Hill, Rachael Motamed, and Lydia Motamed; and one great-grandson, Nathan Hill.

Mrs. Alexander is also survived by one brother, Willard Johnson and two sisters, Joy Spradley and Elaine Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Matthews; and her parents, Rev. James and Irene Partridge Johnson.

Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Alexander and his parents, Mutt and Annie Mae Stracner Alexander
