WESTOVER – Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church will celebrate 159 years of existence Sunday, June 5, with homecoming festivities including worship, a meal and gospel singing.

The worship service will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish for the “Eatin’ Meetin'” following the service.

A gospel sing-along hosted by Barbara and Franko Armstrong, SEASONED Vocalists, will start at 1:15 p.m.

The festivities will be held at the church, located at 4419 Old Highway 280 in Westover.

In other church news, the Mt. Tabor Yard Sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10, 17 and 24 and July 1 in the church parsonage.
