HELENA–Summertime is here and that means the return of Helena’s Movies in the Park program to the Helena Amphitheater.

The amphitheater will be lit up every Friday night during the summer beginning June 3, showing a variety of family friendly movies for all to enjoy.

Prior to Movies in the Park beginning this year, the program gave the Helena community a chance to chime in and vote on which movies they preferred to see on the big screen.

Movies in the Park launched an online survey consisting of 15 movie titles up for consideration and the top eight movies with the most votes were chosen.

The following movies were chosen by Helena residents and will play each Friday night over the course of eight weeks:

• June 3 – Inside Out
• June 10 – The Good Dinosaur
• June 17 – Star Wars: The Force Awakens
• June 24 – Hotel Transylvania 2
• July 8 – Despicable Me 2
• July 15 – Big Hero 6
• July 22 – Guardians of the Galaxy
• July 29 – Goosebumps

The showing of each movie will begin at dark at approximately 8 p.m. Movie goers are encouraged to visit the concession stand which opens at 6:30 p.m. as no outside food or drinks will be allowed.
