ALABASTER – Municipal Park near Thompson Middle School will be a flurry of activity on Saturday, as the Alabaster Arts Council is hosting the free 14th annual CityFest celebration all day.

The musical highlights of the show will be country music star David Nail and Black Jacket Symphony performing Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumors” album. Black Jacket Symphony will take the main stage at 7 p.m. and Nail will take the stage at 9 p.m.

CityFest, which is free thanks to the support of the event’s sponsors, features three stages for musical performances: The KidsFest stage, which features a variety of acts and entertainment throughout the day, the day stage and the main stage.

On the day stage, which is set up near Thompson Middle School, will feature Divine Destiny at 10 a.m., Sanchez Tannehill at 10:30 a.m. and Terry Padgett as Elvis at 11 a.m.

The main stage will feature Kate and the Howlers at 1 p.m., the M-80s at 2 p.m., Michael Warren at 3:15 p.m., the Phil Dudley Band at 4:15 p.m. and KOA at 5:30 p.m., Black Jacket Symphony at 7 p.m. and David Nail at 9 p.m.

The KidsFest stage will feature spectacular science shows at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., be-at-your-best drum and music programs at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon, magic shows at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and flying K-9s dog show at 10:30 a.m. and noon.

In addition to the musical performances and KidsFest, CityFest also will feature a cruise-in car show from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and a vendor area from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
