The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth Barry Holmes, who lists an address in the 300 block of Barnett Lane in Helena, on June 6 and charged him with the three felony charges.

According to his indictment, from Jan. 1, 2003, until Jan. 1, 2012, Holmes allegedly “intentionally engaged in sexual intercourse with a female by forcible compulsion.”

Holmes is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $135,000.

First-degree rape and first-degree sodomy are both classified as Class A felonies, while first-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony, according to Alabama law.

Holmes could face up to life in prison for each Class A felony count, as well as 10 years in prison for first-degree sexual abuse.
