Residents enjoy June Helena First Friday

HELENA–School is out and hot weather has returned as hundreds of residents flocked to Old Town Helena on Friday, June 3, to celebrate June Helena First Friday to kick off the summer with multiple vendors and more.

The June First Friday event included multiple food and dessert trucks, organizations, clothing and other vendors who lined the streets of Old Town Helena for family and friends to explore as other storefronts and restaurants also stayed open late.

More than 50 vendors were on hand at June First Friday that included Pink Zebra Home Scents, Made with Love for India, Helena Library, Plexus, Becca’s Chick Boutique, Taco Tech, Artsy People, Trust Your Journey, Dream Cakes, Ashley Traynham, Damn Good Bacon Jam, Free Spirit, Public, Inspired by Jewelry, Helena Explorers, Usborne Books, Young Living Essential Oils, Southern Sass Boutique, Scentsy, Main Street, Whispering Hollow Emporium, Pepsi, Church of Cahaba Bend, Ivory LeShore gourmet bread, Cahaba River Keeper, Creations…with Love, Avadian, Gospel Light Baptist Church, Tiger Rock Martial Arts, B Cross Creations, Helena Pepper Company, Grade Power Learning, Forgotten Alabama Coffee Table Book, America’s First sponsoring the ATM, All About Inflatables, Helena Health Club, Arcara Real Estate, Frios, Press Start!, The Crusty Streusel, Knots of Love, Kona Ice, Beauty and the Beast, Honey Due Biz, Anthony Tavis Folk Art, Trailor Trinket, Neil performing at the Gazebo, It Works!, If you can Dream it Vacations, Isabelle & Chloe and Bendy’s.

Helena First Friday is presented by the Helena Old Town Merchants, whose goal is to continuously grow the event more and more each month.

The July Helena First Friday will take place Friday, July 1, and is typically considered the largest turnout of the year. The evening will be capped off with fireworks to celebrate Independence Day.
