ALABASTER – Local children and their families will have a chance to catch some kid-friendly movies each week at Alabaster’s AmStar Cinemas movie theater this summer.

Throughout the next few months, the movie theater in Alabaster’s Propst Promenade shopping center will hold its Summer Kids’ Flicks movie series at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Admission is $4 per person, and the price includes a ticket, a box of popcorn and a kid’s soda.

All movies shown during the series are rated G or PG, and the box office opens at 9:30 a.m. for each 10 a.m. showing. This will mark the ninth-straight year for the Summer Kids’ Flicks movie series.

The series began on May 31, and will continue each week through Aug. 3.

AmStar will show the following movies on the following dates:

 

-June 21-22: Space Jam

 

-June 28-29: How to Train Your Dragon 2

 

-July 5-6: Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Road Chip

 

-July 12-13: Penguins of Madagascar

 

-July 19-20: Happy Feet Two

 

-July 26-27: Hotel Transylvania 2

 

-Aug. 2-3: Home
