NORTH SHELBY – Authorities have re-opened one eastbound lane of U.S. 280 at Highland Lakes following a five-car wreck.

The wreck, which happened at about 10:55 a.m. June 17, had closed both eastbound lanes, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

No injuries have been reported from the wreck, SCSO Deputy Debbie Sumrall said.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and expect continued traffic congestion and delays in the area.
