Richard Earl “Rickey” Posey, age 64 of Randolph, passed away suddenly Friday, June 24 in Montgomery.

He was born in Chilton County on February 15, 1952; the son of the late S.D. Posey and Betty Crumpton Posey. He was self-employed in construction.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Posey of Randolph; son, Heath Posey of Trussville; son, Wes Posey of Montevallo; grandchildren, Nolan Posey, Vada Posey, and Justice Posey; mother, Betty Posey of Randolph; sister, Sue (Bobby) Pate of Leeds; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29 at 12 p.m. from Union Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial with firefighter honors will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Cemetery in Randolph.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Union Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 2340 Co. Rd. 73, Randolph, AL 36792.
