Brenda Lee Jones, age 67, of Westover passed away Thursday, July 21.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 25 at Bolton Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Mt. Signal Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon – 1 p.m., Monday, July 25 at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She attended the University of Alabama. She worked as a CSR at Walmart in Chelsea. She was a former Ms. Birmingham (bodybuilding) and she was 1st runner up in Alabama for Ms. Universe. She enjoyed waterskiing, archery, and was a talented artist.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her mother, Lee Moore, her father and stepmother, Cliff and Betty “Boop” McDonough, one sister and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Kent Jones; daughters, Cristin Allen (Yancy Childs), Laurel Nendza (Billy), and Scarlett Jones (Allen Haglund); sons, Shawn Jones and Brent Jones; stepson, Eddie Jones; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Cindy Moore; and numerous other family and friends.
