MONTEVALLO–The Montevallo Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the University of Montevallo to host “Pokémon Go to Main Street,” a downtown Pokémon hunt to welcome new freshmen and returning students back to school.

The Pokémon hunt will be Saturday, Aug. 20 from 3:30-7 p.m. in downtown Montevallo and will feature more than three hours of nonstop lure modules on all the PokeStops downtown.

Refreshments, gym badges, and special discounts at chamber- affiliated businesses will also be available.

The Blue Phrog Art Gallery, which is a PokeStop, will be offering lemonade and cookies. Eclipse Coffee and Books, a Pokémon Gym, will have gym badges available to gym leaders and will be offering 10 percent off orders to reigning gym leaders.

Other participating businesses include El Agave Mexican restaurant, Main Street Tavern, Video Underground, Victory Vape, Absolute Vape, Sweet Ink Tattoo and Falcon Art Supply.

This event is free and open to the public.
