Alabama Bicentennial Celebration set for Aug. 21

NORTH SHELBY – The public is invited to an Alabama Bicentennial Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the North Shelby Library.

The event is sponsored by Cahaba Coosa Chapter, Sons of American Revolution; David Lindsay Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; and Jane Bland Chapter, Children of American Revolution.

Speakers will be Alabama Bicentennial Ambassador Bobby Joe Seales and DAR Vice President General Connie Grund.

Special guests will be vocalist Robert Robinson, Jr. and Mary Casey Lindsay, wife of Revolutionary War Soldier David Lindsay and Shelby County pioneer, reenacted by Phoebe Donald Robinson, regent of David Lindsay Chapter.

The North Shelby Library is located at 5521 Cahaba Valley Road in Birmingham.

Refreshments will be provided.
