Landis “Lee” Walden, age 78, of Calera, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Lee was born in La Follette, Tenn., to the late William Lee and Gladys Marie Baird Walden. He went on to serve with Honor in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was also predeceased by brothers, Millis and Bill Walden, and sister, Devauda Walden Savage.

Lee was survived by his wife of 56 years, Olga Walden; daughter, Norina Treanor (Don); son, Brian Walden (Jessica); granddaughters, Kathryn, Emily and Margaret Treanor; and a host of other family members and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19 at Charter Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  A committal service with honors will be at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo. Father Ray Dunmyer is officiating the services.
