ALABASTER – Kingwood Christian, Coosa Valley Academy, Cornerstone Christian and Evangel Christian all descended on Kingwood Christian School on Friday afternoon for a number of jamboree games. Full stats were not available from the jamborees, but some are included here.

Kingwood tied North River 6-6 and lost to Pike Liberal 7-0. Kingwood head coach Sheldon Ward said he felt his team “really grew up.” And added, “We played a lot better than in the spring. I was very pleased with our production, we just have to eliminate the mental mistakes.”

Coosa Valley also lost to the Pike Patriots 13-0 and lost to Evangel Christian 7-0. Coosa Valley head coach Steve McCord said he wanted to see his team play hard and compete, especially in the face of the mid-afternoon August heat.

Stats for Cornerstone and Evangel were unavailable.
