Billy G. Rockco, age 83, of Montevallo entered into rest Thursday, Aug. 18 at Shelby Baptist Medical.

Funeral service was held Sunday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Rev. Greg Sellers and Rev. Steve Johnson officiated with burial in Montevallo Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Beth Rockco; daughter, Debbie Martin (Chuck) of Centreville; son, Steve Rockco (Tracy) of Clanton; grandchildren, Laura Noah (Sean), Andy Martin (Andi), Parke Rockco, Chase Rockco and Alex Payne; his sister, Sadie Morgan of Tylertown, Miss.; and brother, J. W. Rockco (Crystal) of Tylertown, Miss.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jenny Rockco; brothers, J.B. Rockco, Rocky Rockco and Ed Rockco; and sisters, Mary Axen, Earnestine Ratcliff and Christine Daughtry-Flint.

He served and ministered to those that lost their loved ones since 1966 in Shelby County and since 1978 in Bibb County, through Rockco Funeral Homes in Montevallo and Centreville, provided ambulance service for many years, served on the Shelby Baptist Board as chairman from 1971-1973, and served on the Alabama Board of Funeral Service and as Deputy Coroner of Shelby County. Many lives have been touched by him and he will truly be missed.

Pallbearers were Sean Noah, Andy Martin, Parke Rockco, Chase Rockco, Alex Payne and David Mims.

Honorary pallbearers were Benny Nivens, Kermit Stephens, Frank Hood, Jimmy Thrasher, Phillip Criswell, Jimmy Stephens and James Petus.
