CALERA — Christian Life Fellowship is hosting the ‘Women of Hope and Grace’ conference Saturday, Sept. 17 from10 a.m.-2p.m.

Conference organizer Cindy Hildebrand said she is excited to offer a day of worship and fellowship to women around the county.

“We have invited more than 60 area churches and had a great response,” she said.

She said the conference will begin at 10 a.m. at the church building located at 7374 U.S. 31 in Calera. Hildebrand said they will have two speakers, a praise and worship session and lunch will be provided.

She said they decided to host the conference after enjoying a similar one at Valley View Church of God in Sylacauga.

“After the conference in Sylacauga, they offered to help us do one here,” Hildebrand said. “It’s pretty cool the way God works and is helping us do this.”

She said both Valley View and First Baptist Church of Pelham have helped to organize the event and spread the word through social media accounts and church members.

Hildebrand said the event is free to attend and they will be collecting donations from those that wish to give for My Sister’s Place.

My Sister’s Place is a nonprofit providing a nine-month discipleship program for women in need.

“We try to help women get back on their feet after being in a bad place in their life,” Hildebrand said. “We see a lot of women coming from addiction, alcoholism and abuse and any amount helps us to help these women.”

Hildebrand said there is no registration for the conference and women interested in attending can come to the church Saturday morning.

“We’ll open the doors at 9:30 and hope to enjoy a great day of fellowship,” she said.
