HOOVER – Seva Beauty Salon celebrated its grand opening on Sept. 21 at Walmart off U.S. 280 in Hoover.

The fast casual spa is a Chicago-based franchise that has partnered with Walmart to provide affordable and convenient spa services to customers.

“It’s all about bringing beauty to the people. They have the right to feel beautiful,” owner Moyees Merchant said. “The better people look, the more confident they feel.”

According to Merchant, several locations were considered before the spa was opened.

“The Hoover Walmart was the first place on our list when we were looking,” he said.

The salon offers a wide variety of services, including eyebrow threading, eyebrow tinting, body waxing and facials.

According to Merchant, Seva is all about convenience. He said Walmart is a prime location for Seva because of the large amount of customers that Walmart attracts each day.

According to manager Azima Jiwani, Seva Beauty’s partnership with Walmart also allows the salon to offer services to customers for a low price.

“Our packages are affordable and reasonable,” Jiwani said. “You can not beat these prices or find better service anywhere else.”

Seva Beauty Salon currently boasts over 200 locations in 32 states and in Puerto Rico.

All estheticians who work at Seva are required to meet all state and local licensing requirements.

Moyees said he currently owns nine separate franchises in four states: Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi.

The Seva Beauty Salon in Hoover is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. On Sundays, hours are from noon to 5 p.m.

No appointment is necessary.

“We’re going to have a great future. So far, people are liking it,” Jiwani said.

The salon is located at 5335 U.S. 280 in Hoover.
