PELHAM – The Pelham City Council is accepting letters of interest from those interested in being appointed to the Commercial Development Authority Board.

Letters of interest and related resumes will be accepted now through 5 p.m. on Nov. 21. All letters and resumes should be submitted to City Clerk Marsha Yates at Pelham City Hall, 3162 Pelham Parkway.

The Commercial Development was established in 2014 with the purpose of promoting commercial and retail development opportunities in Pelham. The board is responsible for policy-making and oversight of retail and commercial development in the city.

CDA board chairman Lenny Glynn said there is one vacancy on the board. The board is seeking out Pelham residents who have a little bit of a business background and/or some experience in commercial and retail development.

Overall, Glynn said the ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the city and who will be committed to helping its growth.
