CARBON HILL – After a disappointing loss to Gordo a week ago, the Montevallo Bulldogs responded in a big way in their final region game of the season, beating Carbon Hill 49-0 on the road to move to 8-1 (5-1) on the year.

Senior quarterback Zac Oden combined for six touchdowns on the night, three in the air and three on the ground, helping accumulate 42 of Montevallo’s 49 points. The senior had 329 yards passing in the game and was 18-for-25 throwing the ball. Most of those catches went to either Tre’Shawn Brown, who had eight catches for 84 yards and two receiving scores, or Daqwan Bryant, who had seven catches for 156 yards and the other touchdown reception. Brown also rushed the ball seven times for 63 yards and had seven tackles and a sack to boot.

The other touchdown came on Jay Sullens’ only touch of the night, a 49-yard scoring scamper.
