COLUMBIANA – During the summer, the Calera Police Department Dive Team recovered multiple firearms from Shelby County waterways.

At the request of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the dive team conducted multiple dives in throughout the county and recovered firearms and firearm parts.

These firearms and parts included handguns, shotguns, and rifles. The recovered weapons are being examined to determine if they relate to any past or present cases.
