James D. Scott, 79, of Montevallo passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Scott.

He retired from Commercial Printing Company in Birmingham after 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Arledge Scott; one son, Wendell Scott (Dinah); and four daughters, Karen Tennyson, Judy McGill (Steve), Rachel “Beth” Whitfield, and Lori Lancaster (Butch). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his brother, Lamar Scott; and sister, Wanda Yarborough(Edwin).

There will be a visitation for Mr. Scott on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) from 1:30-2:30 p.m. with his funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Moore’s Cemetery in Montevallo.
