Mary Cox, age 75, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4 at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shelby Garden of Rest. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her parents, William Otis and Iola Bay Pate; brothers, Ervin Connell, Donald Pate, and Wallace Pate; and grandchild, Clay Hope.

She is survived by her children, Juana Rape (Harper), Anthony Hope (Angela), Lisa Clayton, and Bridget Clayton; grandchildren, Casey Joiner (Suzanne), Sky Hope (Britney), Shay Holder (David), Alex, Amery Robertson (Duane), and Zac Rape; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Nina Thornburg; and numerous other family and friends.
