HOOVER – A motorcycle driver attempting to elude police struck a minivan at the intersection of U.S. 280 and Valleydale Road on Oct. 31.

Marlin Flack Jr., 40, of Adamsville was transported to UAB Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the incident, according to Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Flack has been charged with attempting to elude, reckless endangerment and other traffic violations, Daniel said.

An Alabama State Trooper attempted to stop Flack for speeding on the motorcycle, but he refused to stop and fled north on U.S. 280.

Flack’s motorcycle struck a minivan at the intersection of U.S. 280 and Valleydale Road.

Lt. Keith Czeskleba with Hoover Police Department, which is investigating the wreck, said the van was crossing U.S. 280 from Valleydale Road to Cahaba Beach Road when it was struck on the passenger side while in the intersection.

Daniel said neither the Trooper nor passengers in the van were injured in the incident.
