Raymond Cecil Crowe, age 78, of Shelby passed away Friday, Nov. 4 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

He was the husband of Nancy Brasher Crowe. They shared 33 years together. He was born in 1938 in Bankston to Willie and Lavonia Crowe. He was a member of South Shelby Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching the Crimson Tide, fishing with his buddies, a little camping, fishing and more fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; brother, Bill Crowe; sons, Randy Crowe and Cory Crowe (Tammi); daughter, Denna Brown (Johnny); grandchildren, Adam Crowe (Nichole), Mandi Alcazar (Ben), Mark Arnett (Caitlin), Caleb Crowe, Kristen Killingsworth, Catie Crowe, Cason Crowe, Anna and Ally Brown, Cade Crowe; great-grandchildren, Kellan Crowe, Liliana Alcazar, Kaden Crowe, Ariyanna Ford, Tenley Arnett; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Crowe is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kenny Crowe.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13 at South Shelby Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Brasher officiating.
