Larry Clark Wade, age 61, of Pelham, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23.

He was in the Army Band at West Point most of his career until retirement. Larry went on to perform with many local bands playing saxophone and clarinet primarily, but was talented with other instruments as well.

His survivors include his brother, Allan Wade (Pat); nieces, Shelly Mitchell (Nathan) and Caroline Otis; and nephew, John “J” Otis, III.

A graveside service with honors will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Alabama National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations made to the Shelby County Humane Society.
