Three more arrested in Task Force drug bust

ALABASTER – More suspects are facing criminal charges after the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force made its final three arrests in the “Operation Hilltop” drug sting in late January.

Task Force members arrested 42-year-old Maplesville resident Robert Chaney, 49-year-old Alabaster resident Alvin McKnight and 62-year-old Alabaster resident Michael Trenholm on Jan. 19, which was one day after the Task Force arrested seven other suspects in the operation.

Chaney is facing two felony counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and currently is being held in the Shelby County Jail without bond, because he was on bond for a previous possession of a controlled substance when he was arrested on Jan. 19.

According to Chaney’s arrest warrants, his most recent charges came when he allegedly distributed crack cocaine on Cohill Drive in Alabaster on Jan. 5 and Jan. 10.

McKnight was arrested on one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and was released from the Shelby County Jail the same day he was arrested after posting a $10,000 bond. He allegedly distributed crack cocaine on Cohill Drive on Jan. 4, according to his arrest warrants.

Trenholm was arrested on one count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and also posted a $10,000 bond the same day he was arrested.

“Operation Hilltop” was aimed at combating the cocaine supply and distribution chain in western Shelby County, said Task Force Commander Lt. Clay Hammac.

Task Force members made the first seven arrests while serving search warrants at several residences in the area of Cohill Drive and Dilcey Daniels Drive in Alabaster on Jan. 18. During the search, Task Force members seized cocaine and counterfeit cash.

The following individuals were arrested during “Operation Hilltop,” while three others remain at-large:

-Jamel Kentrea Lionel Hall, 29 years of age from Alabaster, currently on bond for attempted murder, charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of imitation drugs and criminal conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime.

-Kenneth Earl Jones Jr., 31 years of age from Alabaster, charged with four counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

-Valie Denise Burns, 37 years of age from Clanton, charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of imitation drugs and possession of a forged instrument first degree (counterfeit cash).

-Kristi Robbins Gollach, 32 years of age from Jemison, charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of imitation drugs.

-Cheryl Renea Mahone, 36 years of age from Calera, charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of imitation drugs.

-Detarrius Quamane Doaks, 23 years of age from Montevallo, charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of imitation drugs.

-Devary Oman Huff, 24 years of age from Alabaster, charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of imitation drugs.
