HELENA–The Helena Beautification Board is excited to announce the annual Spring Clean Up Day will be held March 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Anyone willing to help is invited to join the beautification board to help spruce up Old Town Helena. The clean up will consist of shaping up shrubs and roses, cleaning out planting beds in the area, planting new roses and redesigning the circle beds as part of the Old Town strip revitalization.

Volunteers should bring their own gardening tools and gloves in an effort to make Helena Beautiful. All volunteers are asked to meet at the Caboose on March 4 at 8 a.m.

Love the Pole Planters in Old Town? The beautification board will show volunteers how to build one.

Helena Beautification Board Vice Chairman Brian Puckett will host a demo at 10 a.m. in front of Southeastern Butcher Supply on how to build planters that provide a big color impact. Puckett will show volunteers an inexpensive way to add one to your own garden.

The Helena Beautification Board is an appointed board of the Helena City Council. The Board believes that people and places are profoundly connected and thriving communities are rooted in individual responsibility and action. They host a variety of opportunities for the community to come together and serve each year. Events are posted on the Helena Beautiful Facebook page and announced via Twitter at @TweetHomeHelena.
