Shelby Emergency Assistance will hold its first ever Mardi Gras Bash at the American Village in Montevallo on March 10 at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and include Cajun cuisine, beverages of choice, beads, king cake and moon pies. There will be live New Orleans jazz music from Chuck King and Friends. Proceeds will benefit SEA.

“Mardi Gras Bash will be a fun night out – good food, good music, all for a good cause,” SEA executive director Karen Pendleton said in a press release.

The festive event will be held in the rustic atmosphere of the Barn at American Village, located at 3727 Alabama 119 in Montevallo. Casual attire is encouraged.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time. This helps SEA to plan ahead and allows more proceeds to benefit the organization.

SEA provides basic needs assistance to Shelby County residents experiencing a crisis. SEA assisted over 2,000 individuals in the county in 2016 by meeting their basic needs of food, housing, clothing and medical attention.
