ALABASTER- The Alabaster Police Department and Alabaster Fire Department responded to an accident at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Alabama 119 at approximately 6:57 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.

According to police, the accident involved a collision between two vehicles.

While no deaths were reported, one passenger was removed from a vehicle and transported to Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

The southbound lane of U.S. 31 was temporarily closed after the accident, and was reopened after 7 p.m.
