ALABASTER – Alabaster’s Veterans Park will host the 2017 Alabama Community College Conference fast pitch softball tournament in late April, continuing the city’s longstanding partnership with ACCC.

Veterans Park features five fields with a seating capacity at each field of approximately 750, and a concession stand open for the duration of the tournament.

The double elimination tournament begins on Friday, April 28. Games will begin at 10.a.m. on April 28 and April 29, and 11 a.m. on April 30. The championship game at 1 p.m. on April 30 will conclude the tournament.

“We are very happy to once again host this tournament. It is a great opportunity for our young resident softball players and fans to see softball competition at the next level right here in their community” said Alabaster Mayor Marty Handlon. “We also welcome the many visitors this event brings into our city. They will surely see why we are proud to call Alabaster home. As always, our Parks and Recreation Staff will do an excellent job of ensuring a successful event. And, I thank them for their dedication to the city. Welcome and best of luck to all the teams.”

Spectator admission to the tournament is $10 per day, or $15 for a tournament pass. Children 6 and younger, along with any youth baseball and softball players who wear their team jersey, will be admitted for free. Veterans Park is located at 7305 Alabama 119 in Alabaster.
